My work engages the ideas surrounding alternative consciousness; in particular, the dream experience. I am interested in what our subconscious stores from daily experiences and how our minds manifest these experiences through dreams.
I focus on mixed media to create digital videos, soundscapes, and drawings. Once fully composed, I further alter these videos or drawings by projecting the videos into a space, or by reworking and layering the surface of the drawing. This illustrates the visual nature and spatial-sensory aspects of the dream experience.
The drawings, videos, and audio are continuously being filtered, much like dreams are filtered once brought into consciousness. Dreamt symbols and imagery defy the boundaries of reality, revealing alternate forms of consciousness, human connectivity, and synchronicity.
